Book Review: CARESSED BY ICE by NALINI SINGH

Hello Readers, welcome back to my blog. I hope we are all doing great.

This is the third book in the psy-changeling series and I was so thrilled to get back into this series. It is one of my favourite series aside from the Guild Hunter series.

SUMMARY

As an Arrow, am elite soldier in the Psy Council ranks, Judd Lauren was forced to do terrible things in the name of his people. Now a defector, his dark abilities have made him the most deadly of assassins – cold, pitiless, unfeeling. Until he meets Brenna . . .

Brenna Shane Kincaid was an innocent before she was abducted – and had her mind violated – by a serial killer. Her sense of evil runs so deep she fears she could become a killer herself. Then the first dead body is found, victim of a familiar madness. Judd is her only hope, yet her sensual changeling side rebels against the inhuman chill of his personality even as desire explodes between them. Shocking and raw, their passion is a danger that threatens not only their heats, but their very lives.

Brenna is back and putting her life back together again whilst chasing the Man of Ice Judd Lauren. Judd was instrumental to Brenna’s recovery and she finds herself drawn to him despite the fact that he is so similar in abilities to the psy that devastated her life. The sheer strength of will it takes to build herself back after the extremely traumatic events she suffered is truly inspiring, I love a strong female lead and the strength that she portrays does not mean she has to weaken herself for her man.

Judd Lauren did not know what hit him when Brenna decided she was going after him and she won’t let his Silence stop the possibility of what they could be. And when Judd decided he would give in to Brenna boy did he give in and he was not sitting back about having her. Their emotions were so intense.

Those sex scenes were fire. The story of fighting through trauma and betrayal to come out stronger is unbelievably inspiring and I love love loved it.

I wonder at the identity of the Ghost, when that is revealed in later series it will be explosive.
