Hello Readers, welcome back to my blog. I hope we are all doing well.
SUMMARY
Falling for the fallen . . .
For Nora Grey, romance was never part of the plan. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgement.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora isn’t sure if she can trust him. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and to know more about her than her closest friends. And when she tries to seek answers, she discovers she is right in the middle of a centuries-old battle between the immortal and the fallen . . . and it’s time to take sides.
The first book in the quartet. Nora meets Patch for the first time in biology class due to a change in seating chart but it seems that Patch knows a lot about Nora before this meeting. Strange things start happening to Nora which she tries to ignore because she doesn’t understand them and she doesn’t want to seem crazy.
Patch is showing clear interest in Nora and although Nora is wary of the mysterious cloud around Patch, she is attracted to him. There are more mysterious events and Nora’s best friend gets hurt. Vee is so pushy and she was getting on my nerves the way she dismisses Nora, I couldn’t see the reason why Nora and Vee had remained friends for so long.
Most of the events in the story leads towards the question of ‘Who is Patch?.’ ‘What secret does he hide?’ ‘Is he dangerous or not?’. The mystery and suspense was very well written and maintained for most of the book, the writing style was easy to follow. Looking forward to the other books in the quartet.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
